Jason Connor is a bold visual storyteller from Nanaimo, British Columbia, residing on the traditional, unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. His artistic journey has been shaped through mentorship and apprenticeship from respected cultural knowledge holders, including Bruce Martin Sr. of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, the late Raymond Frank Sr. of the Ahousaht First Nation, and the late Cosmos Frank of the Ahousaht First Nation.

Drawing inspiration from the local land, cultural teachings, and the enduring spirit of the communities around him, Jason’s work celebrates the rich Indigenous heritage of the region. His style blends surrealism with expressive linework, bringing forward imagery that honors tradition while creating visually striking, contemporary art.

Through his collaboration with Art & Thread Co., Jason transforms everyday apparel into meaningful works of wearable art. Each design reflects his commitment to storytelling, cultural respect, and accessible creativity—allowing collectors to carry forward pieces rooted in connection, originality, and community pride.
